FSM Sustainable Land Management Inception Workshop to be held in Chuuk

Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): February 12, 2009 - The Office of Environment & Emergency Management (EEM) will host the FSM Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Planning workshop in Chuuk from February 23-27, 2009, in collaboration with Chuuk State EPA. The workshop will be attended by representatives from all the four States and the National Government. State participants will be nominated by their respective governors, who can select up to three participants, and they must come from the Office of Environment, Agriculture and Forestry or related sectors doing work on land management.

This workshop will have the following outputs:

  1. Stakeholders refreshed and aware of the SLM Project in FSM including the Project Log-frame and implementation arrangements

  2. Roles and responsibilities for Project Activities and Outputs reviewed and confirmed

  3. Project management arrangements clarified and confirmed

  4. Project Monitoring and Evaluation Framework clarified

  5. Risks and Assumptions reviewed and risk mitigation measures identified

  6. UNDP National Execution Modality Agreement

  7. 1st Annual Work Plan developed and agreed on

  8. Inception report produced for presentation to UNDP
