UH Offers PA Certificate and Masters Degree Programs

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): September 23, 1997 - The University of Hawai'i at Manoa (UHM) is announcing that the 1998/1999 Certificate and Masters Degree Programs in Public Administration are opened for interested applicants. The deadline for filing application is January 15, 1998, according to Program Director Richard C. Pratt.

Both Programs require a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The Programs are designed to increase leadership capabilities of people working in governmental and other public service-related organizations in Hawai'i and the Pacific. Individuals committed to public service who have some managerial or administrative experience are encouraged to apply for admission. Each class is made up of professionals from Hawai'i and the Region who have a range of backgrounds and responsibilities who will study a diversity of topics with a number of faculty members and community guests. They are encouraged to learn from one another and solidify long-term professional associations, and develop their own area of interest.
