Voter ID card

This policy is made to all FSM Voters who wish to apply for Voter ID Cards.

The National Election Commissioner shall receive Voter ID applications on a continuing and regular basis until 20 days immediately prior to the Special Election.

By virtue of the FSM National Election Director's authority, printing of VID Cards will temporarily be halted effective Sept. 30, 2009 until after the upcoming Pohnpei-FSM 2009 Special Election. Therefore, I urge anyone who wishes to obtain VID Cards to appear at the FSM National Election Office on or before the date stated above.

Timetable

The Office of the National Election Director wishes to announce to the general public that the tentative Timetable for the Pohnpei 2009 At-Large FSM Special Election is now in effect.

The Timetable is slated as appears below:

8/31/2009	Monday	Day Notification Received
9/5/2009	Saturday	Last Day to Designate Special Polling Places
9/10/2009	Thursday	Closing of Nomination Petition
9/15/2009	Tuesday	Close for Absentee by Mail
9/15/2009	Tuesday	Printing of Official Ballots
9/21/2009	Monday	Open for Travel Votes
9/30/2009	Wednesday	Close for Special Polling Place Absentee
9/30/2009	Wednesday	Printing of Signature Lists
10/5/2009	Monday	Posting of SPP Signature Lists for Gu. & Hon.
10/12/2009	Monday	Close for VAAPP Request
10/12/2009	Monday	Last day to submit names of poll watchers
10/13/2009	Tuesday	Posting of SPP Signature Lists within FSM
10/13/2009	Tuesday	Posting of VAAPP signature lists
10/19/2009	Monday	Close for Travel Votes
10/20/2009	Tuesday	Election Day
