James named President of the College of MicronesiaPalikir, POHNPEI (COM Board of Regents): February 15, 2005 - The COM-FSM Board of Regents has selected Spensin James as the new President of the College of Micronesia-FSM. This is effective January 27, 2005. James earned his bachelors of science degree in chemistry at Rocky Mountain College, his masters of science in biology at University of Guam and has earned 32 credits towards his doctorate degree in education leadership from the University of San Diego. James has over 27 years of working in various administrative and instructional positions at the College. These include 15 years as Math/Science Instructor/Division Chair, 12 years as Vice President for Instructional Affairs and since March 2004 as the Acting/Interim President of COM-FSM. The Board of Regents looks forward to working with James in his capacity as President of the College. James is married to former Ledihna Johnson, and they have five children. |
