Nena Expresses Sympathy and Condolences on Deng Xiaoping's Passing

PALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): February 26, 1997 - FSM Acting President Jacob Nena on February 21, 1997, forwarded through diplomatic channels, on his own behalf and on behalf of the FSM, deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and people and government of the People's Republic of China, for the untimely passing of the great leader of the Chinese people, Deng Xiaoping.

Nena assured President Jiang Zemi that thoughts and prayers of the people of the FSM are with him and his people during their moment of mourning.
