 Inauguration Committee sets July dates for national inaugurationPalikir, POHNPEI (FSM Information Service): June 20, 2007 - The 2007 Inauguration Committee announces that the 2007 Joint Inauguration Celebration Ceremonies have been scheduled for July 15th and 16th, to jointly commemorate the new leadership of the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia. Accordingly, the ceremonies are to celebrate the new Administration - the Seventh FSM President, His Excellency Emanuel (Manny) Mori and Vice President Alik L. Alik at the Executive Branch. At the Legislative Branch, the ceremonies would include the newly installed Leadership and members of the 15th FSM Congress. The activities scheduled for the celebration ceremonies include the following: Sunday - July 15th , the services for the Inter-denominational Services will be at 4:00 pm at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Kolonia. The Inauguration Ceremony itself would began at 10:00 am on Monday - July 16th, at the FSM-China Friendly Gymnasium at the COM/FSM campus in Palikir. The 2007 Inauguration Committee Chairman, Dr. Rufino Mauricio says the Committee is working closely with the FSM Telecommunications Corporations and the local media to "ensure the event is broadcasted live throughout the Federation and on-line for those FSM citizens living abroad." According to the Committee, the details of the program are currently being finalized for eventual announcement.
