FSM National Prayer Day will be celebrated on November 25Palikir, Pohnpei (FSM Information Services): November 23, 2010 - The 3rd Annual FSM National Prayer Day will be celebrated in Kosrae this year on November 25, 2010. The event will be broadcast live throughout the FSM on local state radio stations. President Mori will arrive in Kosrae on November 24. He will be giving the opening remarks for National Prayer Day at 2:00PM, on November 25, at Kosrae High School, based on the theme "Seeking Divine Providence's Guidance toward a Stronger National Unity and Progress." The masters of ceremony are Kemskey Sigrah, Education Specialist for Compact Management with SBOC National Government, and Josaiah Waguk, Special Assistant to Governor Weilbacher, Kosrae State Government. The event will include remarks by Governor Weilbacher, as well as a number of local reverends, and entertainment from four different musical youth groups. An event will also be organized in Guam to commemorate FSM National Prayer Day: the "2nd Annual FSM/Guam Community Prayer Day." This event will be held on November 27, 2010, from 5:00AM to 7:00AM, at UCCP North, Yigo, Guam. The program is being coordinated by Consul General Gerson Jackson, of the FSM Consulate General in Guam, with the assistance of Reverend Koisimy Rudolph and Reverend Justin George. |
