Entry Permit for Canadian Pilot RevokedPALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): November 28, 1997 - President Jacob Nena informed Caroline Pacific Air, Inc., pilot Dalverne Steffensen that his Entry Permit has been revoked, 15 days after receipt of President's letter which was dated November 19, 1997. The revocation action is based upon findings by the FSM Attorney General that Steffensen misrepresented on his entry permit application that he possessed a valid pilot license and also a valid aircraft mechanic license which is untrue. The application signed by Steffensen on October 21, 1996, misrepresented his qualifications on his application. It was discovered that Steffensen's US and FSM Pilot licenses were based on a Canadian Pilot license which expired in April 1995 and has not since been renewed. A renewal of his Canadian Pilot license would validate his U.S. Pilot license. Not having a valid license bars him from carrying of persons and property for hire under any circumstances. Nena told that if he willfully and unlawfully remain in FSM after the effective date of his revocation notice, he will be subject to deportation proceedings. |
