Ambassador Scarborough to Visit FSMPALIKIR, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): December 2, 1997 - British Ambassador Vernor Scarborough is visiting the FSM from December 9 to 13th, according to President Jacob Nena's letter of November 26, 1997, to Pohnpei Governor Del Pangelinan. While he is in Pohnpei, Scarborough plans to call on Governor Pangelinan to discuss issues of mutual interest and areas in which his government can be of assistance to the FSM, Nena stated. He is requesting the courtesy call on Pangelinan be on December 10th, at 2:30 p.m. A staff from the FSM Department of External Affairs will contact Governor's office for confirmation of the requested time for the courtesy call. Scarborough is the British Ambassador accredited to the FSM whose Mission is in Suva, Fiji. |
